Salt Mine
The salt from the Dürrnberg gave both the City and Land of Salzburg their name. Today the Salzburg Salt Mine is a show mine and open to visitors. Entry to the mine begins on a mine railway. The likes of a journey by raft across the undersea salt lake, the tunnels or the slide down the historic miners’ slide are embraced by visitors with enthusiasm.
