Werfen Ice Caves
The Eisriesenwelt (Werfen Ice Caves) in Salzburg Land are a cave labyrinth of over 40 kilometers length in total. This largest ice cave system in the world lies in the Salzburg Tennen mountains. Thousands of visitors are attracted annually by this spectacle of nature. A cable car goes direct to the cave entrance – during the journey the visitors can enjoy a wonderful view of the Salzach valley and the mountainous panorama of the Hohe Tauern.
