Wolfgang A. Mozart
Salzburg both stood and stands under the great influence of Mozart – even before the Mozart Year 2006. Standing in the middle of the well-known Getreidegasse, you will find a further tourist magnet of the city: the Mozart Birthplace House, in which he was born in 1756. There tourists can get an insight into the former apartment and can explore the Mozart Museum. The Mozartplatz in the centre also carries a memorial in the form of a monument to the wunderkind and genius.
