Museums and Exhibitions – admire diverse culture and art
In the heart of Salzburg is to be found the famous Museum of Natural History, (‘Haus der Natur’), whose emphasis is on humanity, animals and nature. Modern art in a contemporary light can be found in the Museum on the Mönchsberg, which, together with the Rupertinum in the old town, forms the Salzburg Museum of Modern Art. From the Hotel Hölle visit further the Carolino Augusteum, the Toy Museum (which has the largest collection in Austria to do with the history of European toys of the last 250 years), the Salzburg Baroque Museum in the Mirabell Garden or the Cathedral Museum with its art treasures.
