A typical Viennese café with tasteful interior, in the middle of Salzburg – that is how Ernst Pühringer characterizes the Wiener Café Herbert which was leased in April 2006 and completely renovated. Only about 100m distant from the ****-Hotel Gasthof Hölle, the café with its wonderful terrace is also ideally situated for guests of the hotel.
Apart from choice varieties of coffee and tea, the Wiener Café Herbert offers all that the coffee-house connoisseur desires: buttered roll, egg in the glass, cakes and pastries such as luscious, home-made Sacher Torte, light fluffy and creamy Kardinalschnitten, classic Guglhupf (ring cake) - just like in your grandmother’s time, or tasty Esterhazy Cakes.
The Wiener Café Herbert (space for about 50 persons) is open daily from 08.30 to 18.00 - sunday from 09.30 to 18.00.
Dine á la carte daily from 11.00 to 14,30, menu daily from Monday to Friday from 11.00.
